Chinatown Stories
by Liwei Wang, Ray Wu, Winston Yuen
Chinatown Stories is a research and design project investigating the unique urbanism of Chinatown in Manhattan. The project analyses often-ignored artifacts of architecture and urbanism such as take-out menus, pop-culture representation, stories, fictions and street signage. The scroll drawing explores the past and the present of Chinatown, imagining how a typical street in Chinatown might look in the future as its unique brand of urbanism proliferates vertically.
Liwei Wang, Ray Wu and Winston Yuen are recent graduates of Yale school of Architecture.
